The staff of Lipsett & Associates

Cathy and Allan Lipsett are both former newspaper editors and publishers with experience in reporting, editing, advertising, and business management. They worked jointly for 13 years as publishers and owners of The Southeast Georgian, a weekly newspaper in coastal Georgia, before selling the newspaper and returning to Atlanta. They also were owners of The Forsyth Forum in Cumming, Ga. Both newspapers consistently won top state awards for general excellence, advertising, writing and other state and national awards.

Today they publish two advertiser-supported community monthly newspapers, The Bright Side, in the Smyrna-Vinings and South Cobb areas. They have extensive backgrounds in education issues, dealing for federal, state and local government and in crisis communication.

The firm has coordinated several statewide political races and provided consulting and campaign assistance to congressional and state legislative races.

Both principals are involved in the community through civic clubs, local boards and statewide organizations.
